Powerbaas Integration
28/06/2024
Since early June, it has been possible to create a connection/integration with Daytopper within Powerbaas. This makes it very easy to start your solar gamification if you are a Powerbaas user.
Follow the steps below for the correct integration.
Step 1 - Create a Daytopper account
Download the Solar Daytopper app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After installation, open the app and create an account. Follow the steps to create an account.
Step 2 - Register your inverter
In this FAQ article, you will find instructions on how to register an inverter. Once you have completed these steps up to step 5, copy the token. We will need this in the next step.
Step 3 - Register the correct inverter within Powerbaas
To connect your solar panel inverters to the Powerbaas P1 Meter, it is important that the correct firmware is installed on the Powerbaas P1 Meter. This functionality is available starting from version v53 of the Powerbaas module. Check in the app if you have the correct version installed by going to Settings - Powerbaas module. See the screenshot below.
Next, open the app and go to the Settings tab. Then choose Solar Panels - Add inverter - Select your type of inverter from the list.
Enter the correct details and for Daytopper API Key, enter the key you created in step 2.
If everything is set up correctly, it can take up to 5 minutes for the data to become visible in the Daytopper app. If it doesn't work or no data is coming in, please send us a message, and we will gladly assist you.
What is Powerbaas?
With the Powerbaas P1 Meter, you are in control of your own energy consumption! This smart device allows you to view your current and historical usage of both electricity and gas per hour, day, month, and year. The accompanying app offers convenient features, such as turning appliances on and off when your solar panels generate energy or when electricity is cheap. Do you have a dynamic energy contract where the electricity price changes hourly? Then you can make optimal use of the Powerbaas P1 Meter by automatically turning on appliances when electricity is cheapest. This not only helps save energy but also reduces your energy bill.
