Introducing Our New Leaderboard Feature!

The evolution of our platform continues, and with it, the development of our badge/points system. However, this blog isn't about our badge/points system. Instead, we're excited to share a new and fun feature we've recently added based on user feedback: the Leaderboard.

What's a Leaderboard?

Many of you might be familiar with Strava, a popular app among athletes. On Strava, you can log your sports activities, and the system identifies segments on your route where you can compete with others in the same discipline. The top performers earn the prestigious “King of the Mountain” badge. We've taken this exciting concept and adapted it for our platform. But instead of tracking athletic segments, we're focusing on the daily kilowatt-hours (kWh) your solar panels generate.

The leadeboard overview

Our new Leaderboard feature allows you to see how your solar panels are performing compared to others outside the group you are already part of. We compare and position you based on our Daytopper network. Imagine the satisfaction of knowing that your solar panels are among the best! In short, it's a fun and engaging way to track your solar energy production.

Future Developments: Local Segments and Points Integration

We have big plans for expanding this feature. In the future, we aim to introduce local segments, allowing you to compete with others in your area. This will make the competition even more relevant and exciting. Additionally, we plan to integrate the leaderboard with our points system. Your local performance and achievements will contribute to your overall points, enhancing the gamified experience.

The leaderboard feature is available from version 2.4 of the app an can be downloaded in the App store and the Play store. Stay tuned for more updates, and in the meantime, check out the leaderboard to see how your solar panels are performing. Have fun competing in with our solar gamification App!
